Rock Climbing in Erie, PA

Well, the real question: Is there any rock climbing in Erie, Pennsylvania??

The non-definitive answer: No.

I am still on the lookout for something. There is a cliff on Walnut creek in Asbury Woods that looks interesting, but I'm fairly certain that it is dirt/rock and not any good for climbing. There is also a falls there called Moonraker? moon something falls where a stream dumps into Walnut Creek. It is extremely beautiful but if the water runs year round then that is not a possibility. however, if the water drys up and stops; then it might be possible to climb... the only problem being that it will be extremely smooth.

I am excited to scout out Panama rocks. From what I have searched for, there is not a lot of climbing done there. So we'll have to see when it opens in May. I'm also anxious to check out McConnell Mill state park: however that is 1.5hrs away. Its almost too far.

I'll keep up my search and let anyone know that is reading. If you have found any places to go climb: please post and let me know.

Hey there, we would like to reach out to you about a possible partnership. Would you be able to either comment back your e-mail? Or shoot it to adeyoung@conncos.com so I can give you more detail?

Thanks.

I know of a place that I have been climbing at for about 5 years. I am in Edinboro and it's also about an hour and a half away though. I have been searching for a closer place and my search has turned out about the same results as yours. I have heard about Panama Rocks and am eager to scout that out
